Another walk after working in Kingussie. Started from the car park in Newtonmore to make the walk a bit longer, and walked up the Glen Road, following it all the way to the Glen Banchor car park which would be the more normal start point for this hill (and the usual start point for the round of the 3 munros - I hadn't realised I could have tagged this graham on to that walk when I did the munros. Still, left me with a nice hill walk to do as a shorter day today). Did the route clockwise to do the slightly steeper route as the ascent.
Straightforward, enjoyable hill and nice to get a new summit ticked off in 2021 given current restrictions. If we ever end up back in a lockdown where you can only exercise from your front door rather than driving anywhere, Newtonmore and Kingussie would be pretty good places to be staying, given the number of hills of all sizes on the doorstep!

Warning Please note that hillwalking when there is snow lying requires an ice-axe, crampons and the knowledge, experience and skill to use them correctly. Summer routes may not be viable or appropriate in winter. See winter information on our skills and safety pages for more information.
