A quick visit to a small hill just down the road from us. Been there a couple of times before but missed the trig point. This time I turned off the main track up just before the end and found the easy path there that bypasses the old quarries.
Tillymorgan on the left with disused quarries visible.
View of Bennachie from my parking spot beside the old church.
There used to be a nice wooden sign at the start of the walk worded "two mile walk" but it seems to have disappeared.
The Buck.
Mount Keen, I think.
One of the wind turbines that has appeared since my last visit.
Mither Tap.
Dunnideer Hill (with summit castle remains just visible), Hill of Christ's Kirk and Knock Saul. Three good hills though they don't look like much from here.
Mount Keen again?
And Lochnagar.
Foudland Hill on the other side of the A96.
The Buck again.
Eastern Cairngorms.
Made it to the trig point at the third attempt.
Lochnagar catching the sunset.
Ben Rinnes in the horizon gloom.
Clouds above the Cairngorms that look like lentils.
