Starting the walk from Kinlochleven at 0930, the weather was perfect with clear skies and very little wind, temperatures at the start around 6C but going above double figures throughout the day.

A bit of snow on the ridge over to Binnein Mòr summit, care needed as always but not too much of a problem on this great day.

After spending some time on Binnein Mòr it was back along the ridge and over to Na Gruagaichean, with another ridge crossing and scramble up to the very rocky summit.

The descent from Na Gruagaichean back to Kinlochleven wasn’t the easiest to be honest, very tiring with no path to speak of for most of it, boggy, steep and slippery in places too but was worth it for what was a fantastic (and very peaceful) day out on the Mamores :D

Dunno if you descended the WH route.
Another option would have been to go down and up to the next wee top after Na Gruahaichean ( steep and loose) from there its down to beallach (783m) which leads up to Stob Coire a Chaim
From here you see the zig zag path heading back down . Its a good route down.
I only found out about it from a guy on Binnein mor who told me it was better than going the other way.

Yeah I did descend on the WH route but that’s good to know there’s that alternative route down you mentioned as I would like to do that walk again sometime. Thanks for that :D

We tried the route down between Na Grauhaichean and Am Bodach last week and it seems to go on forever but is relatively shallow. The views of Am Bodach are great but you lose most of the views of the Lock which occur on the other route. The difficult bit is the 1041 top NE of Na G, which loomed out of the clag and was something of a surprise to us.
