The morning was foggy and windy. I rushed to this hike to be able to observe some spectacular clouds in action. Indeed, I was right. The view of West Lomond from via Bunnet Stane is itself extremely gorgeous, but when the lazy fog cloud is being pushed over the Lomond hill is spectacular! The ascent was quite steep (as for me, the beginner), but very much enjoyable. Descending you may choose few different paths around the John Knox's Pulpit, I chose the left fork, and even though got disappointed in the beginning, started enjoying more afterwards, since you can observe Pulpit from the distance. Also, it turns out that the start of the journey is not as popular point as the big car park not too far from the Pulpit. That's a big plus.
