When it was still all-white, I went to Sidlaws. Amazing, so picturesque. Since I came by public transport, obviously I had to walk considerable distance by the road, which is not so appealing. But other than that it is a great hike, especially if you come by car, there is a car park located way closer to the trails. In summer I did similar route with my bike. Its great, even though I am not in a good shape, so 99% of the ascent I did on foot :D
