A cold and bright day with icy patches on the Glen Fruin road. Parked at the head of the glen before making our way along the reservoir track for a while before heading uphill, keeping in the bright sunshine as much as possible.
Once we hit the ridge just below Beinn Tharsuinn, the views, particularly south to Loch Lomond and the Firth of Clyde were spectacular. From there, we could follow the path to the trig on Beinn Chaorach, this time with great views north.

The drop to the col was quite steep, but we stopped for lunch on the way before the steep pull to Beinn a'Mhanaich, where this time the view to the Arrochar Alps and Lochs Long, Gare and Giol were spectacular.
It was then a very pleasant walk down over the Strone to the car.
