Mid April solo walk. 1st weekend after we were "let out" following Covid Lockdown. I was expecting a very busy weekend in the hills but the car park was only about 3/4 full but I didn't see another person for the first 5Km. At the Lochan at the base of Coire Ardair there were lots of people eating lunch including a group of horse riders. It was a lovely sunny day. 10 degrees at the base and 2 or 3 on the tops.

Hard walk up 'The Window' with plenty of snow still there, rocks above looking dramatic and suitably ominous. The tops were windy and surprisingly cold but definitely runable for any mountain runners out there. In fact the whole route was pretty good for running – not much height difference between the 3 stops and mostly soil/scrub paths. Only a couple of small scree fields.

The worst part was the route down from Carn Liath which was mostly pathless, steep and rocky and so very slow.
