Walkhighlands

An early start on this first Saturday after lockdown, the weather looked promising as I set out for Buachaille Etive Beag. Rather than take the more popular route up I decided to head down Lairig Gartain and head up from the other side.





Upon reaching the bealach it was a right turn to ascend Stob Coire Raineach. There were a few people out and about but I expected more to be honest with this being the first weekend post lockdown and the decent weather.



Straight forward climb to the summit, time for a bite to eat and soak in the great views!





Next stop, Stob Dubh.



Still some patches of snow on Stob Dubh but nothing to worry about. The wind did pick up and it started getting a lot colder but a nice ascent nevertheless. Time to enjoy some more fantastic views!







The patchy clouds I had for the ascent were all but gone and glorious blue skies for the walk back down to the car. A fantastic day out on Buachaille Etive Beag
