Lovely walk up Pressendye on a sunny April afternoon. With lockdown eased I expected difficulty finding a parking spot in Tarland around lunchtime. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find plenty of available spaces.
Walk starts off nice and flat, as you leave the town. Giving us a good opportunity to warm up before the gradual ascent.
Enjoyed seeing all the munroes with some snow cover remaining. Lovely scenery throughout this walk, starting in a rural town, through farmland, then forest and finally open heather near the summit. It was great.
The descent into forest and out into the farmland with more open views was lovely. Saw some mountain bikers, who were on the way up as we descended. They just caught up with us again in the town centre.
I would certainly do this walk again. Perhaps going counter clockwise next time for a slight change in scenery.
