This is an enjoyable morning or afternoon stroll through the estate with a short hill to ascend 2/3 of the way round. The only unpleasant section is the short walk along the B977 Dunecht to Echt road which can be quite busy but has only narrow uneven verges. Apart from that, the only issue is with finding the path at the base of the hill but as a previous contributor very kindly specified, once you come to the "path" sign, turn left here then immediately go right through the gorse bushes. The path is well defined and the top easily reached in 15-20 minutes where you are afforded fine views of the Aberdeenshire countryside.
Enjoy!

Moderator's note: this route has been updated - the path sign mentioned in this report is no longer there.
