A sunny, but cold morning as I parked in Balquhidder for the pleasant walk along the minor road to Ballimore.
- The approach road to Benvane
There was a beaten out path leading up the north ridge, which made the going a bit easier and after just over an hour, I arrived at the first top of the ridge. It was good to feel progress as I got above Creag Mhor and could see the Crianlarich hills.
- Creah Mhor and the Crianlarich hills
As I made my way along the ridge, I got a view of Loch Lubnaig and the Ben Vorlich group to the east.
- Looking south from the ridge
- The Ben Vorlich group from the ridge
The going all of the way to the cairn was pleasant, even if the wind was cold.
- Ben Ledi from the cairn
- The Crianlarich hills from the summit
There was also a lovely view of the Lawers range from the top.
- The distant Lawers range
I then dropped down to the west as I wanted to pick up the summit of Carn Mhor, before walking out. A couple of hail showers on the walk down the glen, but that didn't detract from what had been a lovely day.
