After doing lots of reading on Beinn Chabhair on Walk Highlands, it felt like a good moment for my first ever walk report.

I actually really liked this munro, although a very dry April has meant that it was probably a lot less boggy than usual. After reading some other reports, I decided to take the Hydro track which has switchbacks to take the ease off the very steep first ascent / last descent of the walk. It is a bit of a boring slog, but does perhaps make it a bit easier (and a bit longer), and misses out the bog. To take the Hydro track, you can turn left after the bridge and along the river, skirting the campsite, and then up onto the WHW route. This then meets the hydro track which eventually meets the Ben Glas Burn, where the walk continues.

I really liked this walk for it's very intricate and landscape, it would look almost lunar if it wasn't so wet! It's easy to navigate and an easy climb, with great views from the top.
