Put a smile on my face reading this. Having 'yomped' the cateran twice now, not much sight seeing really goes into the walk, and this past year, an awful lot was done in the dark. I did a solo camping trip back in July as a taster before doing the yomp, with blue skies and temperatures akin to abroad, it made for a great walk, although finding camping spots are a bit more challenging. I had to call it a day though at the Glenisla hotel due to some rather uncomfy blood blisters on the balls of my feet. Certainly enjoyed my lunch and a wee glass of wine while waiting to be rescued. Lovely little hotel.
