The forecast for today was for the rain to blow over by around 8am then a decent day thereafter so I could have an extra hour in bed and I was ready to start by 7:30am with just the odd spot of rain in the wind.
The track to Loch Ordie was just the same as normal but after that there was a lot more surface water and mud which made for a slightly slower and harder walk.
By the time I reached loch OM the sun was starting to make the odd appearance and with a bit of shelter from the wind it was a much warmer stop for a sandwich at the rocky shore of loch OM.
Uneventful walk back to CCP and at 05:40 (about 5 minutes more than my average) it was a decent speed bearing in mind the conditions and the fact that I was in boots rather than the approach shoes I wrecked last time out.
