A first post-lockdown dauner had to be beautiful Ben Lomond.

Went at the crack of dawn, leaving at 5.30 to arrive at Roiwardennan at 6.40. Had coffee, set out just after 7.

Up the Ptarmigan route, always preferable this way, stopped at slabby rock for a bite to eat then onwards to the summit.

Summit at 9.30, glorious day, stunning views, warm and still, not many folk around. Stopped 45 minutes for more food (tabouleh, yum!).

Then down the main path and back to car at midday.
