.... In Aberdeenshire for me that is. Followed RichardCFF route from Bridge of Gairn ( Saturday 10.40 bus continues to Braemar so this is possible). Lovely day, warm at last. As you emerge from forest Lochnagar appears straight ahead. Lovely wild flowers. Boggy bit just below Meall Dubh ( run off).
Double cairn very distinctive ahead. went to col between 2 tops, did summit first then cairns. Views of Cairngorms, Lochangar, Mt Keem Bennachie, Morvern.
Horrors of people leaving bits of sandwich, egg shells and tangerine peel. GRRRH. Back via forest tracks for 17,11 bus back to Aberdeen
