Having enjoyed my walk at Auch last week, I decided to return to the area for these two munros.
A cloudy, but mild day, with quite a lot of midges in attendance when we parked at Bridge of Orchy, although a breeze on the hill kept them at bay. The initial walk uphill was easier than on my previous visit due to recent dry weather.

Once at the bealach, there was the wonderful view towards Glen Lyon.
- Glen Lyon from the col
We made our way along the ridge to Beinn Dorain, which unfortunately, was just in cloud at the summit, however, as we retraced our steps, we could see the path up Beinn an Dothaid. As it was just after midday, we decided to go on to the second hill, first along the path, then over some marshy ground to the summit.
- Dothaid summit
Although it was still grey overhead, there was a lovely view to Rannoch Moor, the Blackmount and the Grey Corries, although the Ben was still in cloud.

- Beinn Achaladair from Dothard
- Dorain from Dothard

- Rannoch Moor from Dothaid
It was then a straightforward descent down the path to the col and from there back to Bridge of Orchy.
