Really nice walk it is possible to do as a circuit.

We actually did this walk in reverse as a circular walk. From the campsite at Craignure we took the path by the monument to the sadly lamented railway and there is a good path along the coast which is marked on the openstreetmap map. There was a couple in front of us with a dog, and as they didn't turn back, we kept going. The path was indistinct at times and we had to walk on the beach, but eventually we arrived at the Toronsay fence and both gates were unlocked and we quickly arrived at the jetty and did the walk in reverse. The views are stunning, apart from the fact that Duart castle is covered in scaffolding. The track through the woods is a very pleasant return and the Rhododendrons are in full flower. It's a pity they're weeds and shouldn't be here.
