Had a fantastic stroll down to this sandy beach at Cuaig. As Walkhighlands say, you need to time your visit around low tide. Some fun old buildings and caves/crevasses to explore (accessible at low tide) , one of which I imagine to be a Jacobite hideout - it reminded me of Balnamoon's Cave up Glen Esk, though a little bit more spacious!...probably used for other purposes as well..... Saw otter footprints in sand going into sea, but didn't see him/her. Make sure to call into Cuaig's Wools and Weavers shop and buy something to support the local community - and have an interesting chat with Thomas Kilbride.
