Started early which was great. Parked in layby 79, nice and quiet and not too hot.
Straightforward start. you can take either bridge. I ended crossing the second one which is a more direct route to summit of Sgaineach Mhor but probably steeper. Not fit so found it hard going. Short break then on to Beinn Udlamain. Path is very faint and so relied on map and compass and viewranger.
Another climb up Beinn Udlamain, quite steep but not as far.
Lovely views, clear blue skies and perfectly still. Very warm, couldn't stay long as the midges like these conditions as well.
Overshot the mark coming down so ended up with a long steep scramble through heather on the wrong side of the ravine which was a killer. Made it back to the path for a steady plod in the sunshine back to the car.
Millie was brilliant staying with me the whole time as loads of grouse and other nesting birds. Saw Ptarmigan and lapwings. Blue mountain hare
