Have wanted to do a midsummer overnight of Wyvis for years, the weather looked ok last night so after dinner, drove up to Strathglass and headed off along the track shown, micro hydro had improved the track to 514 674, from here the path continues but as a peat track, having had some dry weather the track was fine going. As height was gained a decent wind out of the north cooled things down until at 21:45 getting up to the ridge the wind must have been about 10mph and cold from the north so it was tent up, warm clothes on and into the sleeping bag. Woke just before 04:00 feeling cold and needing a pee, temperature was -3.4 C, so just got up and packed away the tent in time to watch the sun rise. Continued round and over Meall nan Drochaide before heading down the rough track to the lochside close to the pink house, saw lots of deer and ptarmigan, got back to the car at 07:00.
