Lovely, easy stroll along both banks for the River Annan from Annan to Brydkirk. Note, the pub at Brydkirk appeared to be closed down, so don't rely on it for a lunch stop. We took 3 hours on the walk because it was a beautiful day and we took advantage of the many benches and seats along both sides of the river to enjoy the riverside wildlife and flowers. It had been dry for several days here so we did not encounter mud on the paths, but I suspect many areas would be muddy after heavy rain. Much of the path is well used, and well travelled. Only a couple of fields are crossed with cattle or sheep in, so be aware if you are taking you dog with you, the rest of the time it is woodland path, park, or riverside fields that are fenced with the path on the riverside of the fence. Path is easy to follow as it is along the riverbank, just watch not to miss the sign and turn to the left in the woodland when nearing Brydkirk.
