Got new boots during the week, worn them around the house… time to try them outside….

Thankfully they were great! No sore feet so always a bonus!

Parked a Bridge of Orchy Car Park. Cross the road, up and under the train station. Through the gate then follow the badly eroded path.

Steep up the Corrie. Cairn at the Bealach. Which one first? Both summits were in could. Opted for Beinn Dorain. No views from here. An hour from Bealach to summit. Back down in 40 mins. Quick bite to eat and during with the summit of Beinn an Dòthaidh had cleared. Made my way up…. path pretty much non existent for last 100m of ascent. Very boggy, which resulted in new boots being put to the test. lost my right foot in deep bog at one point so new boots are now awful dirty until I get them cleaned.

Glad I opted for Ben Dorain first, as the bog would have sent me back down to the car otherwise. Hazy but nice views from Beinn an Dòthaidh
