Can't remember when I did this, but it was after a weekend of on call shifts in Strontian in 2016, taken specifically so I could do a hill in the area as I'd never been to the peninsula before. With a science and engineering background, it was great to go to the remains of the mine where strontium was first found/named after, and the hill walk itself was really enjoyable, no difficulties at all, just a lovely walk even if the weather was a bit changeable. Rounded off the walk with tea and cake at the lovely cafe in the Ariundle Centre (I'd stayed in the bunkhouse there at my own cost the night before my shifts, too far to go to get there in the morning for a 9am start!) with Gail, the para I'd worked with at the weekend, and Neil R, before the Corran ferry and long drive home.
