this is going to be a short story...
after early wake up and 2 hrs drive we finaly arrived to glenmore lodge and started our walking day.
weather was really great - loads of sunshine, not too windy (until we reached ryvoan bothy). plenty of snow.. a little bit too much as for bagging a munro that day apparently. we managed to walk as far as the foot of an lurg, I must say i struggled a lot - snow was knee deep, sometimes thigh deep and i had a lot of trouble to make any steps (i am quite short and my legs are pretty short too).. anyway, after nearly 3 hrs of wading thru the white desert (and not even started the ascent yet!) we decided there is no chance to bag a munro that day and come down before the sunset. and when i thought that i would have at least another 6-7 hrs of struggle i just thought it wasnt worth it.
we decided to leave bynack more for some other day and i think that was just a right decision as we would never do it in time before the dawn.
anyway - it was a great day, with great weather and sunshine!
we built a big snowman which was a lot of fun and eased out tiredness and disappointment... in case you wondered - that thing is a LEG.
