The hot weather continued and we made our way to Drumochter, where thankfully the higher altitude made things a bit more comfortable.
The track leading up to and, indeed, along the plateau made for easy walking. Being in the middle of the country made for lovely views, albeit distant, of Ben Alder, the Monaliath, Glen Lyon and as far south as the Crianlarich hills.
We made our way across the plateau to Can na Caim, where we had a great view to Meall Cruaich.
- Meall and Loch Cruiach
- The distant Cairngorms
We detoured a little from the plateau to the top at A'Bhuidheanach before walking on to the second Munro. The path took a fairly direct line to it.
- Looking west
Thereafter, it was a straightforward walk back to the car, although the walk down the track seemed more arduous than the ascent!
