It was a beautiful September day in Aviemore and we set off to climb Meall a’ Bhuachaille. This was to be my first Corbett. We managed to get the last space in the car park.

We left the car park following the path past the visitor centre.

We reached An Lochan Uaine with its green appearance, many people had stopped here for a break and to take photos.

After continuing along the Ryvoan Pass we could see the bothy approaching and knew our climb was about to begin. The views all around became more impressive as height was gained, stopping to take photos as we went (also and excuse to take a wee breather)

Not far to go now

At the top time for a bite to eat before going down the other side back to the starting point.

Obligatory Summit Selfie

The descent was much easier than the ascent and we made good speed.

All in all a very good walk.
