I had not done a mountain solo before, but gorgeous weather with no threat of it changing the decision was madešŸ˜Ž The fact the path up Macdui begins high up from the ski carpark really takes the edge of the hike up, plus the views are so lovely. Once on the plateau, a bit of boulder hopping involved before heading up to cairn. After heading back down, took route by little lochan towards Cairngorm, an excellent path all the way to the cairn itself. Outstanding views here, then its down by mountain rail path. The weather was the deciding factor for heading out alone, also knew it would be real busy, so all in, would def go solo again.
