White Coomb 821m/2695'
As time was short, (we'd just driven up from the Black Mountains in South Wales) we did a quick "out and back" from the Grey Mare's tail car park by the A708 from Moffat. The route goes up by the Tail Burn, over a footbridge and then up a good footpath above the right-hand side (East) of the burn.
The burn can be crossed (at this time of year) above the waterfalls and a ruined wall is followed pretty much all the way to the small summit cairn.
We returned by the same route. The inclusion of Donald's Head Cleuch would have much improved the walk, but we'd set out too late in the day (and anyway I was tired from the long drive).
