That was a real love hate walk. Started to turn back at the start as I couldn’t be bothered removing anymore ticks from my body as I waded through the tall grass. The path at the start is pretty much non existent and overgrown. It made me angry, very angry. Further up, things get a little nicer, the views are great, the sun came out. A really tough slog up though. The cairn on Meal Nan Euan is pretty much non existent, just two/ three stones, easy to miss in winter, albeit clearly the highest point. Then it’s a relatively steep down climb only to rejoin a grassy field up to Albanaich which is featureless, but has immense views. Walk down is fine, grass, paths etc, the usual. Legs were happy to get back to the car after that.
Pleas check for ticks at home, I’ve removed an additional 4 on top of the 20 or so which I removed on the hill.
Also the GPX file is pretty questionable at parts, clearly wants to keep you off the path for some reason.
