We completed our first Munro last week. It was a beautiful day so the views were stunning. It was hard work though, perhaps more so on the way down for our aging knees (over 50's😩). We received much encouragement from other walkers which was nice. If anyone can recommend another Munro for us beginners, please do!

Welcome to the WH forums, and well done on your first Munro! Looks like you had a lovely day for it.

There are lists of easier Munros here https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/news/our-pick-10-of-the-easier-munros/ and here https://www.stevenfallon.co.uk/10easy.html which you might find useful.

If you don't already use them, a pair of walking poles may help for the descents.

Well done, you chose a good day as well as a good hill. Ben Wyvis is another straightforward Munro, which gets more visitors than Hope and has a better-kept track up the side (it's on one of the lists above). I'll also give a special mention to Ben Loyal - which is not a Munro but still worth the effort on a clear day.

I was there two weeks ago, and that's a stiff unrelenting ascent, so well done! you've captured the views perfectly with those photos.
