Early morning mist on Loch Beinn a' Mheadhoin.


Sunrise light on Mullach Fraoch-choire.


And nicely highlighting the morning's target.


The path from the car park that joins the hydro track.


The sight of the traumatising Meall a' Ghraidh sends a shiver down my spine.






Toll Creagach -not today.








After the morning light show and the easy walk to the end of the hydro track it's a short walk on the slightly boggy continuation to the foot of the zig-zagging and dry stalker's path. Couldn't miss the turn off for the south east ridge.




Cloud on and off to the west.


After the enjoyable but steep initial ascent the ridge levels off.


View north to the Fannaichs.


Don't think I'll make it to the top before the cloud from the west closes in.

Looking back along the ascent ridge.




I get to the top through a mix of descending and ascending cloud but it is still broken enough for some views.


Not quite the summit view I'd hoped for.

Best views are west into Kintail which seems to be getting the best of the sunshine.







All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable walk.
