We took the walk anticlockwise from the car park alongside the river hoping to see good views of the river and loch Maree. We should have packed a chainsaw as this section in densely wooded and views were few. The road turns North away from the Loch into open moorland with a couple of stands of pine. The walk is pleasant along good roads until you get to Kernasary, the area around which is nice with good views Eastwards towards Beinn Airaig Charr and Slioch. Good walk along the slightly rougher Loch Kernsary path back to Sron Dubh and then along the main road footpath to Poolewe.

A good afternoon's walk with quick access from the main road.
