Nice wee day out on this hill with my sons BB company with 18 youngsters ranging from P7 to S4.
Set off in the morning from Falkirk and the fog was well and truly down - thinking might be one of those days without views. Making our way towards Comrie we soon left the Forth Valley behind and thankfully it became apparent that the fog was sitting in the valley. By the time we hit Glen Lednock there was good visibility in all directions. Walk itself is relatively straightforward and most of the younger ones were fine until we hit the section straight after you come off the path, although I think it was hunger starting to kick in for a few! The views from the top were good and we could easily pick out Ben Lawyers ridge etc to the north albeit it a bit cloudy, as well as looking over to Ben Vorlich and Stuc a Chroin. Never tire of the view down to Loch Turret Reservoir
There was a wee bit of a wind, so after their pics we decided to head off the top and find a wee sheltered spot for lunch before retracing our footsteps back down to the car park.
All in all a very enjoyable day - nothing too strenuous with plenty of stops made it longer than usual, but nevertheless good fun.....and always makes it better when you have the views!
