A series of route marker posts with yellow paint or discs combined with the Walkhighlands guide make this relatively straightforward to navigate, though we still lost our way twice. There are some paths, but much of the rouute is across heather and grass, the slopes are gentle. We had an additional detour to avoid cows with calves in one of the fields on the route. Much of the landscape id beautiful.

Toughher than we expected and it looks rarely walked.
