Parked in the big layby south of the Golf Club road, and headed over a gate and up the heathery and wet slopes to hit the old fenceline just below a rocky outcrop. Here a path followed the fence and made for easy going, although there were a few otcrops where it was possible to scramble a little. Views opened up all around on reaching An Coileach, but the wind also picked up and there were a few showers. the route to the top was then straightforward over grassy slopes, it rained all the time I was at the top. Headed east dropping height to get above Bealach na Sgairde, it takes a degree of commitment to head down the steep screes as you have to descend a little before you get a clear view of what is below, however there are no real problems on the slope. Followed the track out to Sligachan, where I found I would have to wait 2 1/2 hours for the bus back to Sconser, so walked back along the road (not a pleasant experience, but for the most a grass strip at the side meant not having to walk on the tramac) which took 1 1/2 hours.
