Thanks Al. Pity about Sail Gorm but I suspect you'll be back before long ! - cheers :)

A great read and superb pics (you were assisted by the weather, mind :D). Congrats on your compleation - like others, I've followed your exploits over the last few years with pleasure, and several of your WHRs have motivated me to visit the hills pictured in them.

I suspect that Corbetts on average are more characterful than Munros, not least because of the minimum 150m drop to the next peak.

Quite emotional to read about your Dad - mine journey was not dissimilar. My Dad started me off on hills, and then reinvigorated my interest when I was not far short of 60 by singing the praises of the Black Cuillin. Unfortunately he didn't live to see me following his recommendation.

Hope you continue to write up your trips, notwithstanding having the Munros and Corbetts behind you.

PS this is the third time I've tried to post a congratulatory comment - the previous 2 disappeared into the ether for some reason. Here's hoping this one gets through

Thanks J-P. Don't think I'll ever finish the Grahams (one never knows though...) but would like to get at least halfway through them - cheers :)

A fantastic post on your stunning achievements, with some inspirational personal reflection. With 112 Munros still to go, 61 years on the clock, and living down south, it’s unlikely that I’d ever be able to match your achievements but I did manage Quinag a few years back and it remains one of Scotland’s best hill days for me. Thanks for a great post.

Always enjoyed your reports RH. Congrats and well done. What a stunning way to complete the Corbetts. We love this area and are yet to explore Quinag. A young family has temporarily reduced available days of exploration for us. I enjoyed the statistics as I am a geek at heart...currently on +20yrs and 13yrs for Munros and Corbetts respectively..... but who knows, many other demands of time!

Congratulations on your Corbett compleation RH
When I started peak bagging in the late 80's you could drive round and get B&B (no such thing as booking) sometimes for as little as fiver a head :D
Those days sadly are long gone and while I've done almost all the hills within a days drive of Perthshire, venturing further afield is now rather expensive :( - I'm past camping but may be a campervan is the answer

'S math sin a bhalaich agus ceart gu leor 's e rathad fada a tha ann an Corbetts ..... Great stuff and indeed a long road on these Corbetts much more difficult an achievement than Munros.

Now for those Grahams ...bet you will #fullhouse 8)

And to think that when we crossed paths that fine autumnal day back on the summit of Ben Oss many moons ago, your Corbett count was possibly even more paltry than mine at the time!

Thanks Graeme. Ben Oss does seem so long ago now. I now have a more recent pair of sawn off denims - quite a bit longer than the originals though  - cheers :)
