Forecast for today was good with no threat of rain.

I chose this route as I wanted to do 20+ miles ahead of starting a long distance walk on Sunday.

Starting at 7:45am the early morning light was beautiful giving the grass a golden tint. There was a northerly wind blowing so it was all into the wind as I reached the lodge after 8 miles and then the bridge at the end of the 4x4 track just under 3 miles beyond the lodge.

Stopped at the bridge then turned and headed for home noticing straight away that the wind was now coming from the south so it was in to the wind again for the walk home.

Just under 7 hrs to cover the 22 miles and the legs feel find so hopefully OK for Sunday.

The Minigaig Pass would be cycled by most but I really enjoy this walk.
