Woke up on saturday morning to strong winds and heavy rain and feared the worst for our trip to Glencoe.Decided to go for it and myself and Charlie met with Ian and Jake and we were up at the foot of the hills for half 8.Wasted no time and were up stob coire raineach in an hour and a half.The wind up here was no where near as bad as we expected but the cloud that at one stage had looked like it would lift never did and it was a steady drizzle when we got up stob dubh.Back down at the cars after about 4 and a half hours ,pity about the lack of real good views but plenty of hills to climb in this area yet so heres hoping for better luck next time.stopped for the mandatory couple of drinks at kingshouse(cheaper than the drovers )

Aye the dog can probably read the maps better than us. Never done starav magoo, but the wee buachaille is an easy enough day and the views on a good day would be superb ,all the best whatever you do

A good little hill this. The renovated path makes it a good walk up, rather than the bog that was there before.

And the ridge is a cracker Pity about your weather though. I've never had it that good on both summits at any one time myself. A lot more straightforward than Starav, which is easy enough, but a steep pull.

Must the Lairig Eilde approach? haven't been in this way.....have either gone in from Lairig Gartain or from the end of the BEM traverse. You certainly got the most out of a poor looking day.

Some cracking pics for a claggy day, seems to me that jake leads the way, urges you on and does the map reading.... you guys best not leave him at home on any walks or you could find yourselves in trouble

Just a simple question, where is the car park shown in your photograph, I had a wee drive up past this are and along Glencoe and never seen a car park like that one, they were all little laybys!

Heading off to do this as my 20th Munroe in the next few weeks - at 17 just now.
