Beinn an Lochain was originally classified as a Munro by Sir Hugh Munro, however after later surveys it was determined to be significantly shorter than the 3000 foot requirement and was reclassified. It now falls into the requirements as a Corbett, sitting in the Arrochar Alps on the Rest and be Thankful, and makes for a fantastic short day on the mountain. Alistair and Douglas tackled it in cloudy conditions, and whilst they didn't get a view the atmosphere created by the mist still made for an excellent day out.
