Walkers: Mags & Perth and District Hill Walking Club

We met up as usual on the first Sunday of the month at the South Inch car park in Perth at 7am and boarded the "B" bus. PHWC run 2 buses each month with 3 categories of walks on each. The B bus headed of to Fortingall where the 15 or so walkers for the moderate walk got off and the moderate/easy walker continued on to the start of their walk. We were all heading for Kinloch Rannoch to meet in the pub and get the bus back to Perth.

We headed up through the farm buildigns (now all converted to what looks like holiday lets) and up on to the hill. The clouds were high with a bit of sun coming through in places, there were lovely views up Glen Lyon and down over Loch Tay with the Ben Lawers range in the background.

There were a few showers, rain and snow, throughout the day but sunny inbetween and as we came over the hill there was a rainbow in front of Schiehallion.

We then walked passed Glenmore bothy and over Allt Mor which with the recent rain was quite fast flowing. The path we were following finished at the river so it was through heather and bog till we met up with the track below Schiehallion which took us down to the road and a further couple of miles to Kinloch Rannoch and the pub.

And of course the classic views of Schiehallion.

It was a great day out with Perth Hill Walking Club a good walk and good company. Next month I'm going to move up a class and brave the A bus :D

Great report and fast posting, some beautiful pic's too. Shame about the showers, I was out today doing Mayar and Driesh but saw no showers at all, just nice blue skies :D
