Another detour on a journey up the A9, ticking off another hill I haven't done before. Shorter walk than I expected, but on the good side, fitted in nicely between showers so I stayed dry. Parked in the small rough car park and took the muddy path over the footbridge from there rather than tackle the ford across the road. Over the stile, up the track for a bit, then I took the direct steep way up, next to the deer fence, to rejoin the track further up. Followed it again, over the next stile, then took the grassy track up Creag na Criche to where it curves around the hill a bit, Left it a bit earlier than I needed to and headed up through the heather, then had to do a lot of wading up through deep heather to get across and up to the actual summit. Headed back down to the track a slightly better way and retraced my steps back down the tracks, this time sticking to the track all the way down rather than taking the short cut next to the deer fence (prefer steep up, gradual down, plus no need to make a short walk even shorter). Up and down in just slightly over an hour, should really have extended it to explore further and get more exercise, but a looming dark cloud put me off as I didn't want to drive home in wet clothes!
