Mount Eagle scratch-free with Kids (17, 11, 8 ) - A pointless Hill just for Baggers

Stats:
Total distance - 5.22 km
Total time - 02h07m
Altitude gain - 89.27 m

Most of the way is on a good forestry track. Last approximately 70m is leading through dense woodland and gorse but we managed to find a good scratch-free way. :)

We parked up in the car park close to Culbokie Transmitter:

Our way started on a cycle route to Cromarty:

We left the cycle route here and continued towards Nord:

We reached the W-E track leading to the transmitting station but we did not turn right like most people in the reports.
We crossed the W-E track and continued trough the gap between the trees and further on the bulldozer track:

A fire break (an old track?) on the left of the bulldozer track.
A path to the trig point starts approximately 20m behind this fire break:

Start of the faint path through the dense wood (deer path?):

Instead to return the same way we took other way to make a circuit.

Ohh, Hills! :) (Ben Wyvis massif?)

Munlochy Clootie Well

On the way home we stopped at Munlochy Clootie Well at A832:

"Clootie wells like the one here at Munlochy are found in Celtic places like Cornwall and Ireland and are linked to ancient healing traditions. The rag or cloot is dipped in the well and tied to a tree in the hope that a sickness or ailment will fade as the rag disintegrates." (https://forestryandland.gov.scot/visit/munlochy-clootie-well)

A little bit bizarre place...

Nice pics and report. I've come across a few holy wells/springs with a few cloughties tied in nearby trees but none appeared as popular as this spot!
