Smashing clear day, Luss Highland games getting under way.

Left Luss around 10:15, following the Glen Luss road, passing through tree lined roads and up past 2 farms then up across a field to the base of Beinn Eich. huge whale back climb up, lots of erosion on the upper parts of the hill. Reached the summit, 703mtrs, with fabulous views back down to Luss and South/West to the Firth of Clyde.

NNW down a slight ridge, which was Beinn Lochain, no peak as such,,just a long ridge walk which veered right and up a craggy top to Doune Hill @ 734 mtrs, again lovely views all round, windy but warm and clear.

Original plan was to drop down into the pass then back up to Mid Hill, but the clock was against us, places to be, mothers to uplift from Luss!! so headed back down into Glen Mollochan, Rain came on for the first time and lasted most of our treck down to Luss but was off and sun was shining by the time we got back to the car. ITBS REALLY bad in my left knee,,had to borrow the guys walking poles to help out, fine on the flat, but descending not so great.

Well done, they're a great group of hills, I was there yesterday. Beinn Dubh and Mid Hill are well worth the climb one day for the views over Loch Lomond.

Hi, you guys have logged Beinn Lochain as a Graham, Beinn Lochain is the ridge from Beinn Eich to Doune Hill. The Graham Beinn Lochain is further over to the west.
