The approach to the summit of Càrn Gorm is possible from more sides. It can be climbed from Glen Strathfarrar to the north or direct from Cannich to the south or what we opted for - from Craskie in Glen Cannich to the southwest. The ascent from Glen Cannich is a shorter approach and can be combined with the Corbett Sgòrr na Diollaid which we climbed up a few weeks ago.
It was a nice walk although the ground was a little bit boggy and rough in some places. But to be honest the weather was a big disappointment for me. The weather forecast predicted sunshine for almost a whole day.
But... It was as it was...
We parked at the start of the driveway to Craskie. There is a space for one car:
We headed through the gate and followed the track to Craskie house:
We walked around the fence of Craskie. There was a sign for a footpath:
We crossed the bridge behind Craskie and headed right and follow the track...:

Behind the gate we continued uphill on the west side of Craskie burn:
There is a path (indistinct in places) first over bracken and then over heather:
The path was in some places quite steep and covered with deep heather.

As we came onto the open hill we reached the deer fence. We climbed through the hole in it and crossed Craskie burn (crossing was quite easy) then continued to a tall cairn. The ground was mix of grass and short heather, rough in places but the walking was not very difficult.

From the fence to the summit there is no path. There are in places some animal paths which it is possible to follow, like this one behind Craskie burn, but these usually disappear very quickly:

From the cairn we walked around Pt. 638 to reach Loch Coire an Uillt Ghiuthais (Sgòrr na Ruadhraich behind):
From Loch it was a straight walk uphill to the summit.
