It rained all morning, so it was a 12:30 start from Loch Freuchie to tackle Beinn na Gainimh, another Graham.
And the rain hadn't given up completely . . .
There was a decent track for the first section - a part of the Rob Roy Way.
The route continued up to about 400m in Glen Lochan, where it was quite easy to cross the burn.
A steep climb southwards on the shady side of the valley gave nice views when the sun appeared.
The going was rougher near the top before the gradient eased around 600m.
The route then went SW up to the flat 730m summit of Beinn na Gainimh. The stones in the grass beyond the eroded peat may or may not mark the highest point!
It was windy, and the rain returned during the return traverse NE and SE along the crags above Loch a'Mhuilinn. The River Braan drains Loch Freuchie, through Amulree, to the east.
A turn NE from point 704 led down to a spur called Meall Mor, with a view of the track beside Allt a'Mhuilinn (the Mill Burn), Loch Freuchie, and the other end of the rainbow!
A grassy descent led to the burn.
Crossing the burn was no problem, with a view back to Meall Mor.
