It was another day of sunshine and showers. The start point for a trip over a Graham and a Corbett was Ardtalnaig on the south shore of Loch Tay.
From the track, Meall Greigh and the rest of the Ben Lawers group were visible.

A steep path zig-zagged up to a ruined bothy on the north end of the long thin ridge of the Shee of Ardtalnaig. Nice to get out the rain!

Evidently, some people don't believe in half measures when it comes to mountain cookery (I told you you could see Ben Lawers).

The ridge went uphill and on and on for well over 2km.

There's a big cleft called Bual a'Claidheimh, meaning something like "hit with a sword".

Here I am at the 759m summit of the Shee of Ardtalnaig.

Then came a steep descent to near Dunan. The view SE is down Glen Almond. Nice drumlins!

A long slog followed, up the other side, to the summit of Creagan na Beinne, 888m.

The return route was a mirror of the out-route, going 2km north. Unfortunately there was pretty miserable steady rain. A turn west began a descent of almost another 2 km, down into the valley at Tullichglass, from where it was possible to regain the track back to the start.

That valley has a 'thing' for old cooking stoves. That one remains, another rather nice cast iron firepit now resides in my garden after the bothy and Dounan was left to ruin in 2009/10/11. I 'volunteered' a clean up and ensured that as well as the crap, the rather good firepit was 'recycled'.
Brilliant valley for short eared owls as well.

Personally I favour the Jetboil and freeze dried combo!
