We started from the Hotel near Loch Assynt.
and it was looking a bit Grey out. but fromthe look of the car park we could tell we weren't alone.

we headed along the river in the light rain talking and having a laugh passing hordes and hordes of walkers

we got to the start of the boggy accent to the bellach and two of the guys in our party almost starting running up the hillside but I like to take a slower pace and stuck with the final member of our party who has got the flu of something but still decided that he's go walking the day.

we got to the Bellach and got some nice views or the surrounding hills but ben more was lost in some very very black clouds. we climbed up from the Bellach past the boulders and the rocky hillside to reach the wee shelter at the top where we stopped to have what another had mentioned as ''summit soup'' some creation he made back at camp before heading off. it warmed the belly nicely and we all had a cup of tea and quickly moved on so that other s could have thier pictures taken without us in it.

we then decended onto the misty south ridge of ben more and into some heavy rain. the boulder fields on the north side of Corniva were unreal and very very slippery. I had by this time joined the lead group and we started to pass walkers that have decided to turn around because of the weather. we continues to climb the rocky ridge and the visibilty got worse and worse. we summited More and quickly got off and out of the wind for the walk back to Cornival.

as we dropped below back onto the Bellach we had dropped below the weather and it was nice as we decende into the glen I took off my water proofs and jacket and continued in just a t-shirt 2-3 minutes laster a massive cloud came round the bend (lower than we were) and it was comming at us fast i've never seen anything like it. it hit us hard and the wind picked up and it started raining hard and visibility was nil.
that killed all conversation and we walked at an amazing pace back to the carpark

17.8k in all a day that most wouldn't have spent up the hills but i'm glad we did.

favorite picture of the trip was this

Another one I'll definitely be looking at the photos when I get back to work as I'm worrying about the narrowness of the ridge between the 2! I'm a great one for worrying before the event!

Looked like a good day out with some very moody atmospheric photo’s taken.
