Quickie before Xmas. Forecast for snow til midday but six degrees at inveruglas. Decided to take the axes off the rucksack. Bad idea :( Bit boggy on initial ascent as we hadn’t spotted the new path a little further on. However, by 700m the rocks were getting icy and we had an awkward reverse-bum-shuffle up one section. Guy walking by offered his axe, but to no avail. Top was very windy. Don’t decide against winter kit even if it appears snow and ice free from the road is my lesson from today
