It was a cold, frosty day and I thought a wee walk over to an old friend would do me good. It was also a test for a healing torn calf muscle which has been paining me since mid-September. Don't tell my physio! I parked in the ever-busy car park above Lennoxtown and set off up the ice icy path. The wind was bitter and cut through my layers so it was on with the pertex windsmock, neck gaiter and gloves. In places the track was treacherous and it was better just to walk through the rough stuff.

Looking over to Cort ma Law
It was too cold to stop, despite the bright sunshine so I just headed over the various intervening tops to the summit trig.

On the summit looking over to Meikle Bin
After a quick gulp of hot tea and a slice of cherry cake, I decided not to test my leg further so, after a few photos over towards Meikle Bin, I headed back down to the car, taking especial care on the final steeper section where I had witnessed a few falls earlier. I was glad of the car heater and the hot bath when I got home.

One of my first walks on the Campsie Fells, though I continued over to Lecket Hill and down to the road...maybe just too far for you and your healing muscle. :)

Yes, that's what I did years ago and what I planned for this walk. On the previous occasion it was my first walk out on a hill after all my chemo was finished. As you suggested on this occasion, I was protecting my leg.
